Build a team grid.

GRID
auto-fill, minmax(220px, 1fr), 1.15rem gap. Below 520px, two columns rather than one — faces read fine small, and one column makes an eight-person team feel endless.

CARD
A 4:5 portrait in a rounded container with overflow hidden. The image is grayscale at 85% and desaturates to full colour on hover over 400ms. Underneath, the name at 1rem and the role at 0.85rem in the muted colour.

HOVER DETAIL
On hover, slide a translucent panel up from the bottom of the image covering its lower third: a one-line bio and two small social links. Animate with transform: translateY(100%) to translateY(0) over 280ms cubic-bezier(.2,.7,.3,1), never with height.

On touch devices, show that panel permanently at reduced height instead — hover states that hide content are invisible on a phone.

RULES
Every image needs a real alt attribute with the person's name. Lazy-load everything below the first row. If a photo is missing, render initials on a gradient tile rather than a broken image or a stock silhouette.
